Thursday afternoon’s Gemini New Moon features several near-exact aspects between personal and outer planets, bringing us all a little closer to the divine as it continues to express itself through us, its exemplars. Pluto is a prime energy participating in this way, being found in a sesquiquadrate aspect with the Sun and Moon that differs from exact by little more than a quarter of a degree, and in a near-exact square with Venus, as well as being in close parallel with the Sun. That’s quite a lot of Pluto, and we might expect transformation to be in the air, both on a personal and on a societal level. Mars is in precise sextile with Eris, the new planet beyond Pluto, representing a spiritual warrior energy in support of soul intention. Eris remains conjunct Uranus and trine Saturn. Additionally, Saturn and Uranus, in their precise trine alignment, are supported by Mercury in sesqui with Saturn, again quite close, less than half a degree, and by Marsopposed to Saturn and in square with Uranus. We can look at these pairings separately or in combination; Mars with Saturn makes it difficult to get things done, with longer lasting lessons that result from repeated tries, while Venusin such close square with Pluto brings an intensity to the key partnerships in our lives. We are automatically digging deep for additional closeness that may result in changes, plus bringing the spotlight of scrutiny to the underlying motivations of all our relationships for ultimately beneficial effect.

When we examine this overall configuration in a more general light, we can also discern a trend toward enlightenment, serious commitment, and massive structural change. Certainly on the national scene here in the U.S. the very structure of government is in turmoil, and this is in proportion to the code of ethics that underlies all public activity, to be either adhered to or flaunted. In this sense what the times are calling for in a subtle way is nothing less than a return to natural law. In the simplest terms, actions are taken and decisions made because they represent the right thing to do under the circumstances. If we extend this principle to each one of us, individually, it is that you not be swayed by consensus thinking or the opinions of others, but only by your own soul-level conviction. This is not always easy to grasp, but once you do know it, then you have a rock that you can stand upon, no matter what. Then you can feel empowered in your stance, because you are coming from the deepest part of yourself. There is again that connection to natural law, as applied to individual understanding, and as consistent with the strong presence of UranusSaturnPluto in these late May skies, and also with the feminine warrior energy of Eris, which represents coming at life from the standpoint of your deepest intention for yourself. Connecting with soul intention, and being willing to fight for that position, is what Eris is all about.

All these polarities can be staggering, as symbolized by every one of the outer planets in connection with the personal ones, and specifically triggering Uranus trine Saturn and square to Pluto, while Pluto and Saturn remain in parallel. The feeling of conflict can be strong unless and until we are willing to make a path for ourselves and begin to follow it. The channeled entity Abraham says that “if you have a problem and you ignore it, don’t worry! It will get worse.” The clues to where we need to go for the actions that we need to take in our own lives are all around us, and in some sense we have come to the crossroads. We may not be able or willing to take these necessary and perhaps somewhat difficult steps immediately, but if we do not, we will definitely get another chance.

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon in the thinking air sign of Gemini, the 5th degree, might as usual prove enlightening. This is “A radical magazine,” and the symbol reminds us of course of left against right, and the polarities of our times, now risen to something of a crescendo. Marc Edmund Jones references, “the necessary element of change in human affairs,” and “the power of [humankind] to give high exaltation and dramatic force to whatever is stirring … deeply within themselves.” Himself with strong Eris, he goes on to state that “emphasized in principal and important part is the supremacy of inner over outer compulsions.” Indeed, in these troubled times, a return to the natural connection with the most basic part of ourselves may prove to be our only salvation.

and wise interpretations by Henry Seltzer

Monday evening’s New Moon in activist Aries is accompanied by the presence of Retrograde Venus, indicating that while the impulse is still very much there to charge ahead with our agenda, we are also simultaneously questioning the very goals that seem to drive us. This can be considered a hindrance, if viewed in negative terms, but it is actually a golden opportunity to make needed course corrections. Venus retrograde is particularly active in this New Moon configuration, and over the entire final week of March, because conjunct the Sun. On the 31st Venus symbolically escapes from her journey through realms of underworld uncertainty to emerge, once again, as the Morning Star.

Meanwhile in these early spring skies we also find plenty of astrological evidence for the urge for forward motion, in the active presence of Uranus and Eris in close partile conjunction, a mere half degree apart, supported by Mercury just two degrees away and by Jupiter across the Zodiac from them. As my research has shown, Eris herself lends a flavor of warrior energy in pursuit of soul intention. For more details see my book, The Tenth Planet. Retrograde Venus is also closely parallel to Uranus in this New Moon, increasing our thrust to be out there exploring new horizons with the idea of more closely aligning with deeper purpose.

And by what means can we discover the more profound set of goals that truly drives us, and of which we might be more, or less, conscious? There is the process of rational thought, much admired in our present culture and brought to a peak of excitement in the timing of this New Moon by the strong presence of Mercury, aligned with Uranus and Eris, and in trine with Saturn. It is both a wildly experimental cast of mind, and also a serious one, that is currently emphasized. We must also recognize, however, that mental ratiocination alone will not get us all the way to where we need to go. C. G. Jung, seminal 20th century psychologist, outlined four functions within the psyche of which thinking was only one. By means of sensation we see what we actually have in our physical field of activity, and by means of feeling we come to see its value to us. We can use the logical faculty of thought to project physical outcomes from specific actions. More significantly, we understand the subtle meaning of what we are up to by means of intuition, which is directly tapping into our unconscious process for a different kind of answer. While this latter process is not given much credit in our linearly thinking society, it is yet of fundamental importance. The journey right now of Venus though her underworld symbolically indicates that we must, at this juncture, find our own way through, a way that is unique to each individual. To get there it is suggested that, in a form of meditation, or of waking dream, you close your physical eyes to look inside yourself for what you most sincerely believe.

It must also be stated that the unrelenting go-go-go! in this New Moon configuration of such an activist Uranus is tempered by the strong dose of conservative Saturn alluded to above, operating from the final degrees of Sagittarius, and therefore in trine aspect to Uranus, Eris, and Mercury. This energy slows us down, and asks that we think twice before launching off into outer space, as does also the introspective feeling tone of retrograde Venus. So this is far from a simple set of archetypes that we are dealing with. There is a distinct push-pull of the urge for leaping forward and also of pulling back. Numinous and foggy Neptune is powerful now as well, so that it might be difficult to tell truth from falsehood, and brilliant ideas from phantasmagoric misconceptions. Nevertheless you have to try.

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon might also be of interest. It is, for the eighth degree of Aries, “A large hat, streamers flying, facing east.” By “hat” is perhaps meant a process of thoughtful mind orientation, and the direction of East traditionally symbolizes a spiritual vision encompassing greater meaning, represented in the Jungian system by the function of Intuition. Marc Edmund Jones has “naïve creativity, … continual self-orientation to the nascent potentialities of all life and experience.” Indeed, it may be that only by continually orienting to the largest possible viewpoint do we come to an understanding of what we, and this life, are all about.

A Full Moon of Wonder and Constructive Fantasy

By Henry Seltzer for Astrograph

Full Moon – March 12, 2017

Sunday’s Full Moon in Virgo brings to a sense of fulfillment certain aspects of the impulse originating from the New Moon eclipse of two weeks past that began the current cycle. That very powerful New Moon was conjunct Neptune, so that the God of the Oceans and of oceanic visions of otherworldly understanding becomes one factor playing itself out quite strongly over this entire cycle. This is particularly so at this Full Moonevent, that features a stationary retrograde Venusin aspect with Neptune. We also find Uranushighlighted, symbolizing new vision plus surprising enlightenment, along with radically transformative Pluto. All the outer planets, emphasized this month, take us out of ourselves, and encourage in us a sense of wonder. These speak to transpersonal considerations of other-dimensionality, and carry with them the ability to think far outside of the limitations of any existing box. They can therefore constitute an antidote when hard-and-fast reality gets a little too real. Because of the narrow constraints with which we must deal in these days of radical change, a fresh look at an entirely different alternative universe of meaning can be not only appealing, but also quite useful in practical terms, allowing us to rise above our earthly dilemmas.

The presence of Saturn in this Full Moon configuration is also quite striking, so that the contrasting astrological archetype to the foregoing is also active. Saturn represents worldly dimensions of hard-nosed reality, antithetical to the symbolism of Uranus and Neptune described in the foregoing, and is the focus of a T-square from Sun and Moon, as well as being emphasized by a tight square from Mercury in Pisces. All our dreams and schemes with which we optimistically started the current month are thus in definite danger of being brought down to the real. This is not all bad of course. The other side of Neptunian vision is confusion, illusion and self-delusion. We need at times that potent dose of level-headedness to keep from drifting away from the actual, and from being present with ourselves and with our bodies. The truth is that we need both inspiration and practical consideration to guide us through the challenging times that we are currently navigating, both individuality and as a society. But we must not let ourselves get so carried away by the cynicism of real-world matter-of-fact viewpoints that we cannot lift our gaze to the numinous and the spiritual, that all-important part of life that often receives inadequate recognition in contemporary materialistic consensus thinking.

When we consider the Neptune and the Uranus factors of this Full Moon, we recognize that we benefit when we are able to take a fresh look at our situation by appealing to a higher vision. The seminal quote from Rudolf Steiner is relevant here: “There slumber in every human being faculties by means of which one can acquire for oneself a knowledge of higher worlds. Mystics… speak of a world of soul and spirit which for them is just as real as the world we see with our physical eyes, and touch with our physical hands.” By recourse to our sense of a higher power, whether by means of meditation, creative visualization, or other spiritual practice, we can not entirely escape having to deal with the sticky substance of life in the physical, but definitely ameliorate the situation for the better. To understand all is to forgive all, as the old saying goes; and to do so by rising above.

The Sabian Symbols for this Full Moon are, as usual, of interest. They are for the Sun in the 23rd degree of Pisces, “Spiritist phenomena,” referring to the American movement of communicating with the dead that was more current in the 1920’s when these symbols were originated, a movement that came into being coincident with the discovery of Neptune in the mid-1800’s. Marc Edmund Jones refers to “the organic integrity of the world at large,” and the “facility for actual and conscious cooperation with the potentials of an immortal reality.” Of course it is important to recognize that the largely unseen is nevertheless a highly significant life factor, and that to get in contact with it we must sometimes “close our eyes to see.” For the Moon in the same degree of Virgo we find, “An animal trainer,” which reminds us that while we inhabit our bodies we are utilizing them as well for goals that shine above and beyond the merely physical. Jones comments that “an individual will be conditioned more and more hopelessly by environment and experience if he [or she] fails to give continual attention to his [or her] potentials and to the self-discipline [required] to develop them.” Indeed connection to our higher selves takes work, and is not for the faint of heart. As with much else in life, however, the rewards are there in equal measure for those who follow this more difficult path to the greater realization of all that we are fully meant to be.

A Special Ritual

The following is a ritual provided by a coven interested in protecting the country from what are seen as evil forces among us. If you care to participate, do so this evening… Your positive attitude is encouraged, as this is a ritual to protect the country and the good folk who believe in the goodness residing here. Everyone is invited but only if you will bring a spirit of goodwill to the gathering and come with an open mind and heart.

Ritual to bind Donald J. Trump and his conspirators

The ritual is to be done at the stroke of midnight on waning crescent moon ritual days, which are February 24th (midnight, Friday evening), March 26th, April 24th, May 23rd, June 21st (especially important as it is the summer solstice) etc. until Trump leaves office.
Will it work? Honestly, there is only one way to find out. But hey, you watch didn’t Hocus Pocus a million times for nothing, so here is how to cast a spell on Donald Trump.
Supplies
photo of Trump – Tower tarot card [copy below] – An orange candle – pin or small nail – White candle, representing the element of Fire – Small bowl of water, representing elemental Water – Small bowl of salt, representing elemental Earth -Feather, representing the element of Air – Matches or lighter – Ashtray or dish of sand
Optional items include pyrite (or fool’s gold), sulfur, and black thread. You can substitute another colored candle for the orange candle if necessary.
Next, you carve the name “Donald J. Trump” into the orange candle with the pin, arrange the other items in a pleasing circle, and lean the tarot card on something so it is standing up vertically. Then, say a prayer for protection to your preferred deity (the document suggests the 23rd Psalm.) After that, it is time to cast the spell.

Ritual

(Light white candle)

Hear me, oh spirits Of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air
Heavenly hosts, Demons of the infernal realms
And spirits of the ancestors

(Light inscribed orange candle or sub)

I call upon you To bind Donald J. Trump
So that he may fail utterly. That he may do no harm
To any human soul Nor any tree, Animal, Rock, Stream or Sea

Bind him so that he shall not break our polity,
Usurp our liberty, Or fill our minds with hate, confusion, fear, or despair
And bind, too, All those who enable his wickedness
And those whose mouths speak his poisonous lies

I beseech thee, spirits, bind all of them As with chains of iron
Bind their malicious tongues
Strike down their towers of vanity

(Invert Tower tarot card)

I beseech thee in my name
(Say your full name)
In the name of all who walk, Crawl, swim, or fly
Of all the trees, the forests, Streams, deserts, Rivers and seas
In the name of Justice And Liberty, And Love, And Equality, And Peace

Bind them in chains
Bind their tongues
Bind their works
Bind their wickedness

At this point, you are to light the picture of Donald Trump on fire and let it burn until it turns to ash as you passionately exclaim “so mote it be!” three times. If you do not like that phrase, you can exchange it for one of Trump’s signature catch phrases, such as “You’re fired!” Then you snuff out the white candle and end the ritual.

A Dynamic, Surprising, and Insightful Month of February

 MY FAVORITE ASTROLOGER

By Henry Seltzer for Astrograph

The astrology of February features Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Eris, and two eclipses. By now, Mercury has fully recovered from its recent retrograde, as of last January 27th, and as it does so, conjuncts Pluto in mid-Capricorn in the chart of the January 27th New Moon that holds the keys to this month’s astrological cycle. Many of the themes from January, involving outer planet combinations, are true for this month of February as well, and with even greater intensity. Jupiter stations at 23 Librain the first week of February, late on Sunday evening, and thus maintains his recent and very strong opposition to Uranus and Eris, the new planet beyond Pluto. Uranus and Eris continue to be separated by less than two degrees, increasing the active potency of both archetypes. In particular, with Uranus conjunct Eris, opposed to Jupiter, and also still in square with Pluto, there are loads of brilliant new ideas and insights flooding in, with consequences for individual and collective agendas. Things will not go at all the way that was planned, but what is equally true is that there will be a great deal of learning in the side roads that are unexpectedly taken.

Then too, we have the very powerful Lunar Eclipse in Leo of February 10th, which aspects Eris, by trine and sextile, within 10 minutes of a degree, and therefore also triggers the JupiterUranus opposition, and Uranus square Pluto. The February 26th New Moon at 8 Pisces also makes many powerful outer planet connections, indicating that our massive structural transformation continues into the following month. Of these, the most notable is to numinous Neptune. Everything, it is said, is an illusion here below, which might explain the recent rise of “alternative facts.”

Because Mercury conjuncts Pluto in the chart of the New Moon that initiates the current cycle, having taken place a few days before the start of the month, this implies greater conscious participation, all through February, in the deep-seated and massive changes that are going on for you. Mercury has been in its retrograde cycle until this same day, counting the shadow period, so that a new vista is also opening up for each one of us that takes the lessons of the recent retrograde and begins to apply them to current needs. Mars hovering near the Aries point at the January 27th New Moon further enhances the active nature of this month, and the strength of Uranus in Aries, which he rules. With the revolutionary impact of Uranus square Pluto – the aspect that defines our decade – so thoroughly triggered, nothing escapes being changed; there is a transformational component to everything that is currently taking place. You benefit when you can slow down to meditate, paying an almost literary attention to your own life, as if it was a form of carefully crafted movie.

Chiron is prominent this month as well, being aspected by Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Eris. Mars is also closely parallel to Chiron, so that this archetype of the Wounded Healer is an important part of what we are dealing with. Indeed some of the actions of the new administration here in the U.S. seem to arise from painful feelings of powerlessness that seek an outlet, and also there are painful consequences to the more extreme positions that are being taken. Individually we can at least deal with our own issues, and by our inner work heal others around us as well.

We live in the strangest of times. And yet we might take solace in the thought that everything happens for a reason. The eventual lessons of the first two months of the year, with its mixture of both positive and negative examples, will ultimately bear fruit. It is already a more conscious 2017 than was generally available during all of the twelve months previous to it.

An Enlightening, Inward Turning and Activating Month of January

Henry Seltzer is the best online today – explains so everyone understands, and his products are wonderful!
By Henry Seltzer for Astrograph Astrology
The astrology of January features Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Eris. Both retrograde Mercury and Mars in Pisces are strongly placed this month, being aspected by the potent Capricorn New Moonfrom the last few days of December. Mars being conjunct Neptune in this timing, you can count on it that, for the entire thirty-day cycle of this lunation, lasting to January 27th, there is uncertainty of activity and of outcome. Mercury, also highlighted at the New Moon, remains in retrograde throughout most of the month, when you take the period of its retrograde shadow into account, roughly 2 ½ weeks following the station to direct motion that Mercury makes on January 8th, as it returns to its starting point in mid-Capricorn. We therefore have before us an introspective month of looking more deeply within ourselves for answers that can be found nowhere else. There is quite a lot going on. Jupiterand Uranus are found in a powerful T-square, being closely opposed, with Uranus conjunct Eris, and both in square to Pluto. Saturn is parallel Pluto. The presence of conservative Saturn in the same degree of Sagittariusas Jupiter is in Libra completes the picture, with Saturn almost precisely trine Uranus/ Eris. This is an exciting aspect pattern, indicating that new information abounds, and that everything that comes to light contributes to the ongoing massive transformation, in this decade, of ourselves as individuals and of the society that surrounds us.

Saturn’s participation in this Grand Cross alignment is profound, and is reminiscent of the volatile sixties, when Uranus and Pluto, conjunct in Virgo, were opposed by Saturn during the 1965-66 exact conjunction, and when, during the famously divisive summer of 1968, Saturn stationed in precise quincunx to the position of Uranus in late Virgo. We have before us now a quite similar time, when polarities and fractures in the social structure are very evident, and when what is required of us is that we do our utmost to keep our own heads on straight.

The increase in consciousness that is part and parcel of our response to difficult circumstances is indeed important, which is also the message of prominent Eris, which my research has been able to characterize as Feminine Warrior energy for soul purpose, Eris is part of the powerful month-long T-square described above, and therefore greatly emphasized. Once we know of what our deep intention actually consists, we are empowered to attempt those changes in the social structure and within ourselves that truly support it.

Besides Saturn and Eris, another planetary archetype associated in the Grand Cross alignment is Chiron, the Wounded Healer. In the New Moon that characterizes the month of January, Chiron is located at 21 degrees of Pisces, in close semi-sextile to Uranus/ Eris and in exact square to Saturn. With Chiron so fully participatory in these intense planetary patterns, we might want to ask ourselves what fears are coming up, and how do these tap into feelings of insecurity that we have going as a result of early childhood trauma, which is Chiron’s province. As we proceed through the decision process of this difficult time, we therefore also have another opportunity to move through our wounded places within us, toward a more integrated perspective.

Because transformational Pluto is so greatly emphasized in this first month of the New Year, and also the confusion and uncertainty of outcome represented by Neptune, we have a situation in which the best that we can do is to get clear in our very own minds and hearts on where we ourselves, personally, stand. Once we unequivocally know what we deeply believe, and can articulate that viewpoint, and decide to act on it, than nothing can harm us.

Bernie Sanders, who lost the U. S. presidential nomination over the summer, might prove to be a good example of someone who acts on this principle. Whether or not you agree with his politics, few would argue that he does not know what he wants. You didn’t see him upset or even dismayed by his primary election results, but, rather, you saw him digging in to fight even harder. He therefore exemplifies a battle cry for these fractious times that we are living through from which we can all take heart: when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

SETH’s NEW YEAR’s RESOLUTIONS

SPECIAL THANKS TO: Lynda Madden Dahl and the Seth Network International

Given to Jane and Rob on New Year’s Day, 1979

“Now: I wish you a Merry New Year, into which I hope you manage to insert a touch of light-heartedness now and then.

“Now if I were you two, making a list of resolutions, my list would include feelings and attitudes. Things to do are well and good very good indeed but the feelings and attitudes are, shall we say, at least as important. I would not presume to make a list of resolutions for you. But in an imaginative endeavor, this is what I pretend I would list if I were you meaning you both. Though this is a new year, there is nothing really new about the list.”

One: I will approve of myself, my characteristics, my abilities, my likes and dislikes, my inclinations and disinclinations, realizing that these form my unique individuality. They are given me for a reason.

Two: I will approve of and rejoice in my accomplishments and I will be as vigorous in listing these—as rigorous in remembering them—as I have ever been in remembering and enumerating my failures or lacks of accomplishment.

Three: I will remember the creative framework of existence in which I have my being. Therefore the possibilities, potentials, seeming miracles, and joyful spontaneity of Framework 2 will be in my mind, so that the doors to creative living are open.

Four: I will realize that the future is a probability. In terms of ordinary experience, nothing exists there yet. It is virgin territory, planted by my feelings and thoughts in the present. Therefore I will plant accomplishments and successes, and I will do this by remembering that nothing can exist in the future that I do not want to be there.”

II. What a Human Being Is

1. An oversoul. An oversoul is one of many, single, constantly-creative, ever-living entities which All That Is, is manifesting through. Like All That Is, each oversoul expresses and develops its own being by taking many complementary forms. These forms are separated by (a) time and space, and by (b) probability.

a. The oversoul of a human being lives at the same time in several different periods of history — “incarnations” — as well as in several bodies in the same time period–“counterparts.”

b. This same oversoul exists, as well, in countless “probable” realities, in which the choices that its human forms do not make in our reality are made, and the consequences are experienced.

c. It can exist in fragmentary form in people, animals, and plants, and it can accompany such beings, profiting from their experiences without embodying itself in them.

d. All bodies that each oversoul inhabits are in contact with each other on a subconscious level, and can thus learn from each other’s experiences.

2. A human form. A human form is the body that we generally assume to be a human being, plus constituents not generally perceptible to our five senses or to the instruments we use, but that are vital to its functioning. (These are force fie1ds of electromagnetic energy, of sound, and of light.) The nature of this human form is partially determined by a pattern (“blueprint”), which the oversoul selects before its human birth, but, for the most part, the human form develops in response to its own creativity and free choice. The human form assists in the development of its oversoul much as a child assists in the development of the family that it be1ongs to. And, like the child, the human form matures until it, one day, becomes an oversou1; in the process, it discards the mortal body but retains the other physical expressions of itself (its force fields, which have form as well as energy), and its memories, tastes, skills–in short, its personality.

3. An inner self. The inner self is that portion of the human form, which maintains it in existence, and which creates the world it lives in. The inner self contains the pattern for the human form’s development. It supplies the wisdom, energy and love that bring it into being. It has information about the way that it is functioning both now and in the past. It also knows about the human being’s futures, one of which it will decide to enter, leaving all the others to its probable realities.

The inner self has access to the other forms the oversoul is manifesting through, as well as to the oversoul itself. Through the oversoul, it can draw upon the infinite wisdom, energy and love of All That Is. Finally, the inner self is in contact with every form that is connected to the human form it animates; that is, with all the people, plants and animals, the very earth, that constitute its human form’s environment.

From this storehouse, the inner self informs the conscious mind–if it will listen-what is going on inside the human form and in the world around it on subconscious levels. It communicates to the conscious mind–again, if it will listen–what its oversouJ and other beings suggest that it should pay attention to and do. It solves problems and produces endless ideas, often in aesthetic form, and makes energy available for tasks. And it creates the objects and experiences that the human form perceives as its reality.

4. A conscious mind. The conscious mind is that portion of the inner self, which manipulates within the physica1 environment we are familiar with. Because it is so limited in focus, the conscious mind is able to direct outward activity, handle waking experience, and over see physical work. It assesses conditions both inside and outside of the human form, and, on the basis of this data, sets goals and adopts beliefs, which the inner self then manifests as the material environment and the experiences that the human being lives through daily.

Depending on beliefs it holds, it refuses or accepts the information and advice which the inner self attempts to give it. Sometimes, it will listen to this information only if the inner self, which is a fount of creativity, presents it as coming from an eternal source, such as God, a disembodied spirit, or a UFO. (These outer agencies exist, but seldom in the simple forms in which their human viewers “see” them; nor do they generally give such simple messages).

5. An ego. The ego is that portion of the conscious mind which directs its focus, as the eye directs the focus of a human being’s sight.

The ego also constitutes the surface identity of the human form, being composed of certain characteristics of the total self which fit together in relation to the outer world it finds that it is living in. As the human form moves in time through various environments (growing older, exercising new abilities, and associating with new groups of people, for example) and as the ego pays attention to different information coming to it from the inner self, it changes (leading people to speak of “changes in the personality”).

Under deep psychotherapy, massive dosages of LSD, and similar assaults upon the individual integrity, an ego can be “killed.” As soon, however, as traits of the inner self can group together once again, another ego will be formed–one that is more fearful because it has the knowledge of its predecessor’s “death” to cope with, and is frightened for its .own existence. But the inner self can never die, and. will eventually–perhaps when in another human form–regain its ability to function in our physical environment.

A Mystical and Changeful Month of December

Henry Seltzer is my favorite Astrologer online today – his writings are insightful, and his Astrology programs are worth investing in –  Astrograph

By Henry Seltzer for Astrograph Astrology

The astrology of December features Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Eris. All the outer planets are strongly represented in the New Moon and Full Moonconfigurations, so that, as the month continues to unfold, our awareness is bound to increase regarding the transformational intensity of these times, and our part in fulfilling them in accordance with our own unique destiny.

With powerfully transformational Pluto, and also the numinousity of Neptune, greatly emphasized in the Sagittarius New Moonconfiguration from the 29th of the previous month, we are struggling to define for ourselves our own position, and as we do so we are taking spiritual values, that which is beyond and actually in support of the physical world, more firmly into account. The massive structural changes of the 21st century are gaining in momentum in this mid-decade timing, and it is difficult to know exactly how to respond. A clue is found however in the strong presence of the new planet beyond Pluto, namely Eris, which represents a spiritual warrior energy for being nothing but ourselves, at all costs. The implication is that if we know who we are at the deepest levels of our being, and are able to act on that knowledge, nothing that comes along in the outer world can disturb this fundamental sense of ourselves.

It is fascinating how both the Sagittarius New Moon and the subsequent Full Moon of Tuesday, December 13th, connect with a highlighted presence of Eris, in close conjunction with trickster Uranus. The New Moon makes a sesquiquadrate aspect with the position of Eris, at 22 Aries, exact to within a few minutes of a degree, while in the Full Moon timing, the Sun and Moon at 22 degrees of their respective signs form close aspects to Eris as well. In the context of Eris’ continued close conjunction with Uranus, this also implies that the surprises that we have seen during the summer and fall are still far from over, and that in being the best representative of ourselves that we can be, a factor of rebellious quirkiness is likely to remain an important factor. It does seem evident that being yourself at all costs almost necessarily comes with embracing your own individual destiny, involving factors that are unique to yourself. It is also true that various forms of rebellion are very much in the air, from Brexit and the ascension of surprise President-elect, to Standing Rock.

A powerful Mercury Retrograde, beginning on the 19th, adds an element of introspection to the proceedings. We are attempting to come to terms with major change, and our requisite part in that that we simply try to be the very best and most authentic version of ourselves that we can gracefully come to. Then, no matter what might occur on outer levels, we have our answer in terms of what we ourselves uniquely bring, and that in which we most deeply believe.

With the advent of the Winter Solstice, on December 21st, considered an important harbinger for the year ahead, we find Jupiter opposite Uranus and Eris, making a T-square to Pluto in close conjunction with retrogradeMercury. This is an extremely powerful configuration, with the opposition between Jupiter and the UranusErisconjunction lasting all January, including the American presidential inauguration ceremony of January 20th, and right through to the March 15th repetition of their exact alignment. What might we expect, as the rest of this massively transformative decade continues to unfold? Because the aftermath of Uranus square Pluto, exact from 2012 to 2015, still remains with us, we might see something like the fervor of the revolutionary sixties, as everyone is motivated to come forward, in the battle of the 99 percent in principled opposition to the establishment corporatocracy, whether for or against. It seems that everyone must be ready to stand and be counted for that in which they most sincerely believe. For better or for worse, the old Chinese proverb “May you live in interesting times” has certainly come true for us, here in this middle portion of our crucial decade.

Hi Seth friends, one of the most complicated aspects of ‘You create your own reality’ to fully grasp at times is that we create it ALL: from interactions with family and strangers passing by, to our own private events encountered, as Seth stresses in this very clarifying comment:

“If you are in serious difficulties of any kind, it may at first seem inconceivable, unbelievable, or even scandalous to imagine that your problems are caused by your own beliefs. In fact, the opposite might appear to be true.

“You might have lost a series of jobs, for example, and it may seem quite clear that you are not to blame in any of those circumstances. …

“You may be in the middle of one or several very unsatisfactory relationships, none of which seem to be caused by you, while instead you feel as if you are an unwilling victim or participant.

“You may have a dangerous drug or alcohol problem, or you may be MARRIED TO someone who does. In both instances the situations will be caused by your own beliefs, even though this may at first seem most unlikely. …

“In most cases, even the most severe illnesses or complicated living conditions and relationships are caused by an attempt to grow, develop or expand in the face of difficulties that appear to be unsurmountable to one degree or another.

“An individual will often be striving for some goal that appears blocked, and hence he or she uses all available energy and strength to circumnavigate the blockage. The blockage is usually a belief which needs to be understood or removed rather than bypassed. …

“We are not speaking of physical health alone, but of mental, spiritual, and emotional health as well. You are not healthy, for example, no matter how ROBUST your physical condition, if your relationships are unhealthy, unsatisfying, frustrating, or hard to achieve.”
